Dr. Palmer has a keen interest in wellness, nutrition, and activity. During her childhood, she was strongly influenced by her mom’s career as a registered nurse and developed a desire to enter the health care field. Coming from a small community herself, she feels right at home providing chiropractic care in Delisle’s Primary Health Centre. When she is not practicing in Delisle, she is seeing patients in Saskatoon at Westside Chiropractic.
Dr. Palmer attended the University of Saskatchewan and received her Kinesiology degree. It was the exposure to research and the importance of physical exercise at the U of S that prompted her to enroll in the four-year program to attain her Chiropractic Degree at Toronto’s Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College.
Her patient interest lies with head & neck injuries, temporomandibular joint dysfunction (TMJ/TMD), and upper extremity conditions. She approaches treatment by assessing the uniqueness of each patient’s health concerns and creates an effective treatment plan that addresses root causes, not just symptoms, and includes elements of building strength, diminishing symptoms, and improving long-term health.
Her love of physical exercise led to a Group Fitness Instructor’s Certificate, as well as a CSEP-Certified Personal Training Certificate. She has taught numerous fitness classes for those wanting to improve or maintain their fitness levels.
Prior to her Kinesiology and Chiropractic degrees, Dr. Palmer received her Massage Therapy Diploma and opened a massage therapy clinic at a golf course in Saskatoon. While working as a Registered Massage Therapist, she attended Saskatoon’s SIAST Kelsey Campus and received her Medical Laboratory Technology Diploma and worked in a hospital lab.
Dr. Palmer has been practicing in Saskatoon since 2013 and Delisle since 2015. She and her husband Shane have a young Havapoo (Havanese - Miniature Poodle) named Ollie. You will always find Shane and Ollie together on any hunting and fishing excursion.
